Habib Ussi Hamad

Habib holds an Associate Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPA – 3223). He has more than 15 years’ experience in accounting and auditing sector. He join with Imara Consultants in 2004 and worked as junior auditor and hence senior auditor, he worked with the School of Business, (SUZA) formally known as Zanzibar Institute of Financial Administration (ZIFA). Whilst with the ZIFA he was seconded to Internal Audit Departments to assist in the reviewing and implementation of financial reporting systems.

Whilst with the ZIFA he rotated to the following positions:

  • Assistant Lecture of Accounting and Finance subjects
  • Assistant Lecture of Auditing subjects
  • Assistant Lecture of Computerized accounting package subjects
  • Chief Internal Auditor
  • Member of Consultancy team

He has also worked at Education developments Center (E.D.C) as a Finance and Administrative Manager on the Tucheze Tujifunze project, which is a millions worth investment by USAID into the Zanzibar government.

Habib was appointed by Nasaha Consultants. On the 01 January 2017.

She has more than 10 years’ experience in accounting. She join with Supper Doll Trailer manufacturing co. ltd in Dar es salaam in 1995 and worked as Accountant, She worked with the Zanzbar University (ZU) as Chief Accountant Whilst with the Zanzibar University she was seconded to Internal Audit Departments to assist in the reviewing and implementation of financial reporting systems, and perform the following activities:

  • Verified all payment vouchers before payments
  • Advised the management on the proper way for use and controlling the university funds
  • Advised on the Internal Control administration of the University on all accounting and financial transactions
  • Taught first year students Financial Accounting

She has also worked at University of dar es Salaam – Institute of Marine Science- Zanzibar as Principal Accountant and perform the following activities:

  • Managed the entire Institute’s Accounts Department.
  • Prepared financial statements for the University government funds and also for the projects funds
  • Control all project funds in the Institute of Marine Sciences
  • As a head of accounts staffs in the Institute, supervised the accounts staffs in all payments made
  • She was one among the signatories in the Institute bank accounts
  • Managed the entire Institute’s Accounts Department.
  • Prepared financial statements for the University government funds and also for the projects funds
  • Control all project funds in the Institute of Resource Assessment
  • As a head of accounts staffs in the Institute, supervised the accounts staffs in all payments made
  • Received the money from Higher Education Students Loans board (HESLB) and disbursed to the eligible students via banking system
  • Controlling all funds from HESLB paid to University for payment of the students’ loans and account for the funds received from HESLB.
  • Prepare reports to the University, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the HESLB concerning the funds received and disbursed.

Abdalla Bakari, founder of Nasaha Consultant is a graduate of the Mzumbe University and holds Master of Science in Accounting and Finance and Master of Procurement both from Mzumbe University. He has more than 12 years’ experience in accounting and financial services sector. He completed his traineeship with Imara Consultants, after which he assumed an Audit supervisor position at Imara Consultants audit firm
